Senior Audio-Visual Acoustics Consultant

If you’re an AV acoustical design professional who is thoroughly immersed in the latest audio-visual technologies, the Senior Audio-Visual Acoustics Consultant position at Acoustics By Design offers you an opportunity to design sophisticated systems for high-profile acoustical projects throughout the Midwest. With your knowledge of multi-media, entertainment, performance, and presentation technologies, their integration, and their performance capabilities in varying acoustical environments, you will work closely with architects, facilities managers, and technical directors to design and integrate custom audio-visual, lighting, and technical systems optimized for each particular environment.  Design technical systems for a complete spectrum of projects from performing arts centers and theaters to convention halls and arenas to corporate conference centers, worship facilities, and lecture halls. • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, theater design degree, and/or industry certification.
• Minimum of five years AV Systems design, engineering, and/or control systems programming experience.
• Thorough knowledge of audio-visual technology, control systems, and/or media networks.
• Ability to create concept, schematic, design development, and bid level system drawings and provide technology evaluations and recommendations and generate system specifications, facility impact reports, system budgets, and bid documents.
• Computer literacy with fluency in MS Word and MS Excel. Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Access desirable.
• Excellent writtenand verbal communication skills to participate on our presentation team to make capabilities presentations, lead "Learn @ Lunch" seminars, and present proposals to prospects, clients, and in public forums.
