HVAC Noise Control

HVAC noise control is an important part of designing the proper acoustical environment. HVAC noise and the mechanical noise from other systems impact room acoustics, structural vibration, and exterior noise levels. Our noise control experts consult on HVAC systems design, materials selection, and equipment location.

At Acoustics By Design, HVAC noise control consultants employ sophisticated technology to identify, quantify, and characterize sources of HVAC noise and its impact. Using findings from our noise measurement studies, our noise control consultants engineer design alternatives, specify materials or technologies, and recommend modifications where necessary to mitigate excessive HVAC and mechanical noise and vibration.

In the event that a facility is not yet built, we use acoustical modeling software to evaluate the expected HVAC noise and vibration levels, assess the impact of alternative designs, and recommend the most appropriate HVAC noise control solutions. We also design corrective solutions for HVAC and mechanical noise control in existing facilities.

As independent consultants, we don’t represent any product manufacturers, suppliers, or other service providers. Accordingly, our clients are assured our recommendations are free from bias and focused only on the best solutions for the issues at hand.

Acoustics By Design’s HVAC and mechanical noise control services include:

  • Noise measurement
  • Noise control design
  • Noise remediation
  • Noise control compliance audits
